Abstract

 A true pronunciation implicitly facilitates communication as well as a charm and beauty exist in the health of pronunciation. Pronunciation has an eminent role in reading, writing and speaking. Unless the pronunciation is correct, effective communication is not possible. The health of pronunciation is the assessment of the linguistic knowledge of the speakerr and the reader. The writer has attempted to narrate the nature of Urdu language in terms of pronunciation.  A major problem with Urdu pronunciation relates with borrowed vocabulary from Arabic and Persian language. In this paper, along with some preliminary issues, the Arabic and Persian sources are identified which are frequently used in Urdu and which are often prone to mistakes. This researcher provides some key points and strategies   to facilitate teachers and the students for better comprehension in the target vocabulary
