Abstract

In the present era, Mazhar-ul- Islam is a unique novelist and fiction writer.  He has achieved a prominent position in Urdu fiction due to his symbolic style and thematic diversity. By carefully studying the society, he describes the heartbreaking events happening in the world in symbolic terms in such a way that its essence pierces the soul of the reader. He writes about death, separation, suicide, deprivations and the psychological problems of humans and the resulting complications, leaving the end on a hidden path and leaving the reader in a curious state.

In his characters, he reflects the psychology of the employees, apart from men and women, from all classes of people, and this is what makes his stories stand out.  If the characters are studied from the psychological aspects, the characters appear to be mental patients of various mental diseases.  The reason is only the incompetence of the society. In this essay will discuss the psychological study of the characters in Mazhar-Ul-Islam's fictional collection Ghoron kay Shehar main Akela Adami.
