Constitution of Ghalib’s Mind and Metaphysics of Silence

Abstract

In present day, few critics strive to judge Ghalib's personality with contemporary ideology Nationalism and
modern patriotism and denominated him traitor or mouthpiece of the colonialists. As the matter of fac, these
critics of Ghalib neglect the socio-political circumstances of that era. In order for proper understanding, the
vision and philosophy of an individual, it is essential to explore the factors that directly influence cognitive
structure of the person. The English colonialists preferred to enslave masses mentally than physically. In order
to articulate any belief on Ghalib's creation, it is obligatory to perceive all the illness and crudities of Colonial
era. This research paper will trace all the signs of colonial system that affected Ghalib’s thoughts.
